Father and SonDedicated Parents helps incarcerated parents to responsibly connect with their children, emotionally and financially, prior to release from the Alabama Department of Corrections.

We provide prevention education services to engage parents to be actively involved in their children’s lives upon release.

Further, we provide prevention services with Department of Human Resources staff to assist inmates upon release to connect with local services to acquire jobs, education, parenting skills, and fulfill their child support obligations, ensuring successful transition into their children’s lives, families, and communities.

Dedicated Parents also aims to increase community awareness of sound fatherhood and parenting best practices by providing primary prevention education to the general community through a fatherhood educational summit.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention.
